REFLEXIVE PEACE PRACTICE (RPP) PROJECT

DRC experienced dual developments of diplomatic progress and continued field-level violence. High-level talks in Geneva concluded with the DRC government and the AFC/M23 agreeing to a negotiation roadmap and launching their first joint ceasefire verification mission in South Kivu. However, active combat incidents including drone strikes and militia operations continue to threaten civilians, driving humanitarian needs across North Kivu, South Kivu, and Ituri. Humanitarian actors and MONUSCO remain focused on protecting returning populations and mitigating health risks.
